Centre Culturel Hellénique, Paris

The Centre Culturel Hellénique in Paris, which was established by Anastasios G. Leventis in 1975, aspires to promote Greek culture both through Greece’s lengthy cultural heritage and through its contemporary forms of artistic expressions. By investing in Greece’s most valuable capital, its civilisation and culture, the Centre thus focuses on promoting the country’s image abroad. Over the past three years, with a renewed Board and a new President, the Centre Culturel Hellénique has increased and enhanced its numerous activities, drawing always on the dedication of its volunteers. Its aim is not only to organise events (festivals, exhibitions, workshops, theatrical and musical events), but also to promote and coordinate all Greek cultural activities in France through its active website. The Centre’s website also offers francophone visitors to Greece a wealth of information about the country’s cultural life. Synergies and a strategic choice of collaborations with other major cultural institutions in France allow the Centre to expand its influence and underline the radiance of Greek civilisation worldwide.
