The A. G. Leventis Foundation Scholars Association (Greece/Cyprus)

The A. G. Leventis Foundation Scholars Association of Greece and Cyprus was founded in January 2005.The aim is to strengthen the relations among fellow members of the Association, at both interpersonal and scientific levels, as well as to promote Sciences, Literature and Culture. The most recent important event that the Greek Board of the Scholars Association, organized was a contemporary art Exhibition in March 2011, at the Hellenic Centre of London, entitled “The Crisis & Beyond, Emerging Greek Art in Times of Trouble”. The exhibition enabled 9 promising Greek artists, to present their Works but also their feelings about the Greece of today and tomorrow. The Association’s Cyprus Board organized in March 2011 a field trip entitled “Idalion: Walking in the History of Cyprus” and in November the lecture entitled “Cyprus Nature: Wealth, Threats, Civil Protection” with Dr. Costas Kadis as key-note speaker.
