Museum of Fine Arts, Boston- Aphrodite exhibition catalogue
This exhibition, at the MFA in Boston, is the first of its kind in the United States to focus solely on Aphrodite, one of the most compelling and powerful ancient divinities. It includes some of the world’s greatest classical pieces and brings together some 150 extraordinary works from the Museum’s renowned collection, as well as significant loans. The Foundation’s sponsorship of the exhibition catalogue ’Aphrodite and the Gods of Love’, enabled a creative and scholarly publication to be produced, which complements the exhibition’s practical scope, and supports its wider aim to showcase, in their full glory, some of the treasures of Greek art and culture.
