You can see the difference.... A sea turtle can’t.

Taking its cue from the proliferation of purple jellyfish in Greek seas throughout the summer, MEDASSET – Mediterranean Association for the Salvation of The Sea Turtles, put forth a sensitisation campaign to highlights the vital role of the sea turtle (one of the key predators of purple jellyfish) within the ecosystem, but also to underline the threat posed to sea-turtle survival by plastic pollution. This medial clip, created with the support of the A. G. Leventis Foundation and broadcasted by Greek national television stations, following the approval of the ESR – highlights the importance of Sea turtles in the marine food chain and the need to protect them, by curbing plastic pollution, if we want to maintain the balance of Mediterranean marine ecosystems.
