A. G. Leventis Foundation Research Chair, ELIAMEP

The A. G. Leventis Foundation Research Chair focuses on European political economy issues of Greek interest and operates at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) since October 2017. The Chair supports annually a major study on a topical theme, carried out by leading researchers and academics, and presented at a public event with the participation of high-profile commentators. In 2018, Reforms in Public Administration under the crisis: Overview, Description, Evaluation, an in-depth, up-to-date study on the reforms of Greek public administration in the framework of the Economic Adjustment Programmes, was coordinated by Professor Calliope Spanou of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In addition, Vangelis Arvanitis, Junior Researcher of the A. G. Leventis Foundation Chair, published a working paper titled The impact of the European Central Bank’s monetary policy on European countries’ loan structure: the housing channel, as part of the ELIAMEP – Leventis Papers series in February 2019. In the context of the Chair’s work, Mr Arvanitis and Dr Dimitris Katsikas, Head of Crisis Observatory of ELIAMEP, also participated in international conferences organised both in Greece and abroad.
