Sistema Cyprus

Based in Nicosia, Sistema Cyprus is a nonprofit social-music programme in Cyprus that provides free music education through orchestras and choirs, particularly for children and young people from migrant, refugee and disadvantaged backgrounds. Since its inception in 2018, the Foundation has been supporting this initiative, which uses ensemble music-making as a tool for social development and inclusion. Thanks to the Foundation’s funding, Sistema’s programme supports more than 250 children, while demand continues to grow, with more than 100 children on the waiting list in 2025. Recognising the quality and social significance of Sistema’s work, which has received many accolades on an international level, the Cyprus National Addictions Authority has granted Sistema authorisation as a prevention programme.
