Sector 2: Nicosia – The Green Line Project, Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia, Cyprus

Sector 2: Nicosiais an immersive exhibition presented at the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia from 10 January to 17 June 2026. Through an innovative museological approach, it explores the history and significance of the Green Line- a boundary that has divided Europe’s last remaining split capital for the past 60 years.

In parallel, and in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus, a companion presentation of the exhibition will be held in Athens from 11 March to 24 May 2026 at the exhibition space of the former Public Tobacco Factory.

The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia has been honoured with the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Award 2026 in the category “Citizens’ Engagement & Awareness-Raising” for the project Sector 2: Nicosia – The Green Line Project.
