COVID response actions in Greece

In response to the pandemic, the A. G. Leventis Foundation supported national efforts in Greece in addressing emergency medical and social/educational needs as they emerged. During the pandemic’s first wave in March 2020, the Foundation supported the Greek National Health Service through the donation of protective equipment to designated COVID response hospitals, reaching doctors and nurses in the front line at a time of considerable shortages. In the subsequent months, the Foundation joined Junior Achievement Greece in the #staytech programme that supplied laptop computers and notepads to schools across the nation, designed to facilitate learning-from-home for children without access to digital technology.
