Heating system installation at the kindergarten in Lipsi island, Greece

Sympleusis is an organization of volunteers which aims at improving the quality of life in the small, remote islands of Greece. After receiving a request from Lipsi for the installation of a heating system to adequately cover the needs of the local kindergarten and with the support of the A. G. Leventis Foundation, Sympleusis proceeded with the purchase, transportation and installation of a new heating system that will enable teachers and their young pupils to work comfortably during the winter months. Situated in the south-eastern Aegean, Lipsi have one of the highest birth rates of the Greek islands and the schools are full of children. The support of the A. G. Leventis Foundation will enable the island’s inhabitants to live, prosper and enjoy infrastructures like those of mainland Greece, while it prevents domestic migration and the aging of the island population.
