The MountMed Institute, based in the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus, is dedicated to the sustainable revitalisation of mountain communities. It partners with the Foundation to drive research, advance sustainable agriculture and support producers in the Solea and Marathasa valleys. The Foundation supports MountMed’s mission through several targeted programmes, such as the Comprehensive Plan for the Regeneration of Troodos Agriculture (2024-2027) and a multiyear research project led by Professor Dimitris Goussios, aimed at agroecological transition, helping producers to establish sustainable agricultural businesses. Alongside MountMed and other philanthropic and corporate partners, such as the J. Papadouris Foundation and Coca-Cola HBC, the latest initiative of the Foundation - to support fire-affected communities after the wildfires in the summer of 2025 - is currently being implemented.
