Christoforos Savva: Simple – Complicated – Invisible: An Unknown Archive, A. G. Leventis Gallery, November 2025 – 28 June 2026

A new temporary exhibition, Christoforos Savva: Simple – Complicated – Invisible: An Unknown Archive, is currently running at The A. G. Leventis Gallery, Nicosia until June.

The exhibition presents for the first time a recently discovered and previously unknown archive of Christoforos Savva (1924-1968), one of the pioneering figures in modern Cypriot art whose groundbreaking work transcended the conventions of the first generation of Cypriot painters and paved the way for the younger generations who followed. The archive, with its remarkable story of discovery,  includes artworks, sketches, studies, photographs and personal notes, sheds new light on the artist’s creative process and reveals hidden aspects of his oeuvre.
